Privacy Policy
UTONE is not on sale yet. Right now this website does one thing with your personal data: it lets you join a waitlist by giving us your email address. This policy explains what happens to that address. When the UTONE band and app launch, they will have their own privacy policy covering the data the product handles.
Who we are
The utone.io website and waitlist are operated by Beijing Diary Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. ("UTONE", "we", "us"). You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Your email address, when you submit it through a waitlist form.
- Which form you used (for example the top of the page or the bottom), so we can tell what on the site is working.
- Basic technical details sent with the submission: your browser type and the country your connection appears to come from. We do not record your IP address with your email.
We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics on this site.
What we use it for
We use your email address to tell you about UTONE: launch dates, early-bird pricing, product updates, and occasional requests for feedback. We will not use it for anything else without asking you first.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or share your personal data for advertising. Your email address is stored with Cloudflare, Inc., the infrastructure provider that hosts this website, under its data-processing terms. If we move the waitlist to an email-sending service, that provider will process your address on our behalf under a contract that limits what it can do with it.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we close the waitlist after launch and remove the list. Every email we send will include an unsubscribe link.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have specific rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA; we honour them for everyone.
International transfers
This website is served and its waitlist stored on Cloudflare's global network. Our team works from offices in China and elsewhere; team members who manage the waitlist may access the list from those locations. We keep that access limited to the people who need it to send you updates.
Children
The waitlist is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect email addresses from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has joined, email us and we will remove the entry.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
